Remeha boiler service mode
How to put a Remeha boiler into service mode, so it holds maximum or minimum rate while you take combustion readings. 13 models from 6 Remeha installation and servicing manuals, each step with the page it came from.

Entering service mode / Full load test (MaximumPowerCH)
- Select the tile [ ] on the home screen.
- The Change load test mode menu appears.
- Select the test MaximumPowerCH for full load test.
- Check the load test settings and adjust if necessary.

Accessing the installer level
- Select the tile [ ].
- Enter code: 0012
- When the installer level is active, the status of the tile changes from Off into On.
- To leave the installer level, select the tile [ ] > Confirm.

- Press the [enter]-key, keep it pressed and also press the [+]-key until [H][3] appears in the display.

Enter Service Level / Change Parameters
- Press the [enter]-key and briefly the [reset]-key until codes [C] and [0] appear alternately in the display.
- Press the [+]-key until access code [1][2] is displayed.
- Press the [enter]-key until [P][1] appears.
- Press the [enter]-key to select a parameter value.
- Press the [+] or [-] key to change the value.
- Press the [enter]-key to confirm the value.
- Press the [reset]-key to return to operating mode.

The Avanta boiler has been live test fired on the production line and set up for Natural Gas with an inlet gas pressure of 17-20 mbar whilst operating and should therefore not require any further adjustments. (page 26)

Enter Service Level / Access Parameters
- Press the [enter]-key and briefly the [reset]-key until codes c and 0 appear alternately in the display.
- Press the [+]-key until access code 12 is displayed.
- Press the [enter]-key until p1 appears (codes p [ and [ 1 are displayed alternately).
- Press the [+] or [-]-key to select the desired parameter, then press [enter] to view or modify its value.
- Press [enter] to confirm the new value, and press [reset] to return to the normal operating mode.

Force Maximum and Minimum Rate (Full Load / Part Load)
- To set full load (h3): Press the [enter]-key, keep it pressed and also press the [+]-key until h3 appears in the display.
- To set part load (l3): Press the [enter]-key until l3 appears in the display.
- Press the [reset]-key to return the boiler to normal operating mode.

The boilers are supplied as standard set for natural gas (G20), therefore the following procedure must be carried out BEFORE the boilers are fired and commissioned for the first time on propane: Fit the conversion kit (instructions included in kit), adjust the fan speed and adjust the gas/air ratio. - Press the ‘m’- and ‘s’-keys simultaneously and hold.
- Set the t-display to 12 using [+] or [-]-keys.
- Press ‘e’-key to confirm.
- Display will flash twice to confirm.

Enter Service Mode (Servicecode)
- Druk tegelijkertijd de 'mode'- en de 'step'-toetsen in. Op het 'code'-venster verschijnt de letter [C].
- Houd deze toetsen ingedrukt en stel met de 'A'- en 'V'-toetsen code [1][2] in.

Force Max Rate (Geforceerde mode 'HOOG')
- Door in de bedrijfsmode de 'mode'- en de 'A'-toets tegelijkertijd in te drukken, gaat het toestel branden op het maximale vermogen.
- Door tegelijkertijd de 'A'- en 'V'-toetsen in te drukken, gaat het toestel terug naar de bedrijfsmode, of automatisch na 15 minuten.

- Door in de bedrijfsmode de 'mode'- en de 'V'-toets tegelijkertijd in te drukken, gaat het toestel branden op het minimale vermogen.
- Door tegelijkertijd de 'A'- en 'V'-toetsen in te drukken, gaat het toestel terug naar de bedrijfsmode, of automatisch na 15 minuten.

Common questions
Is service mode the same as chimney sweep mode?
Yes, in practice. Makers use different names for the same function: service mode, chimney sweep mode, test mode, calibration mode, check programme. Each one holds the burner at a fixed rate, usually maximum then minimum, so you can take a stable combustion reading.
Can I adjust the gas valve while it's in service mode?
Only where the manual gives an adjustment procedure, and only with an analyser in the flue. Many current boilers are set at the factory and the manual says not to touch the gas valve. Where a manual says that, it is shown with the procedure above.
